Share Care Program
In the fall of 2007, we at Jackman’s Inc. were very concerned with the high price of fuel and how our senior citizens and less fortunate customers would be able to afford today’s energy costs.
Buy putting our heads together we devised the “Share Care” Program to raise money, by asking our customers and area businesses for donations. Jackman’s Inc. started the fund by donating $800.00, and since then have had a tremendous response from area businesses and customers.
In thanking them all in the local newspapers, we have raised awareness of this serious situation that we are all dealing with, because no one should have to choose between, food, heat and medicine.
Jackman’s Inc. has helped over 50 homes, and by the end of the heating season will most likely help over 100 homes. It’s a small start, but it is a start, to help our neighbors, and one that we will continue, with support from the people of our community for future years.
Thank you to all those who contributed to the success of our “Share Care” Program.
In March of 2008, Jack Malzac initiated a “Share Care” benefit concert and collected donations from even more businesses and helped to make more people aware of the Program.
